Grand Soleil 40R built in 2002 by the Italian shipyard Del Pardo. This high-performance cruiser-racer is well equipped and features an elegant blue hull. It is registered under the UK flag and has a draft of 2.40 m with a displacement of 6 tons
The Yanmar 40 HP engine has approximately 2000 hours and has been serviced annually. The engine control panel was replaced in 2022 and the sail drive was renewed in 2021
The interior offers 8 comfortable berths and 2 full bathrooms with manual toilets (taps replaced in 2021) and a deck shower
Tangaroa is equipped with a ROD regatta rig (2014) with Spectra halyards. The boat features a Harken furler, convertible twin-groove forestay, and a full Harken deck layout with well-organized clutches and a German-style mainsheet system. The cruising mainsail has 3 reef points, the furling genoa is in good condition, and lazy jacks are installed
For racing, a complete Kevlar/Mylar sail set is included: mainsail, genoa, and jib. There are also three spinnakers onboard: one light (0.50 oz), one heavy (1.50 oz), and one with a sock for short-handed sailing – all in excellent condition – with Spectra sheets and guys. A spinnaker pole and hardware are fitted, as well as a hydraulic backstay
The electronics include B&G instruments with external repeaters, an autopilot, a Raymarine GPS/chart plotter at the chart table, VHF radio, and a CD player with 4 interior/exterior speakers
Additional equipment includes a heater (electrical short circuit to be repaired), one engine battery (2020), two service batteries (2016), electric bilge pump, electric windlass with new remote (2021), anchor with 45 m of chain, 220V shore power system with automatic charger (2022), Bimini top, full cover, cooler with refrigeration unit (2018), 2-burner stove with oven (hoses changed in 2022)
Skin fittings were replaced in 2013. The dinghy (2022) is sold with its Tohatsu outboard engine, serviced in 2022. The full teak deck is in excellent condition. A bathing ladder and deck shower complete the equipment
Offshore safety equipment included. Hull repairs done in 2014. Hull paint redone in 2018 (some touch-ups to be expected)
