Born in the ocean, the hull also faces challenging waves with ease, which we verify in the wake of a ferry. The EdgeWater 265 EX remains well resting with a regular trim on the water and, above all, does not suffer from particular repercussions on board.
Precise setting of the route, easy to manage also thanks to the softness of the wheelhouse; excellent visibility in all directions, which allows constant control of what is happening around for maximum safety of navigation and maneuvering.
But it is the turn that surprises us, for an unusual ease. The boat rests on the internal sliding plane of the turn and closes precisely, without lambing, after which it repositions itself with equal ease for straight navigation.
The roll is decidedly minimal when stationary, while while sailing it is practically imperceptible.
The minimum speed, in the case of live trolling, is 1.8 knots without the aid of a trolling valve, while the planed buoyancy is lost around 15 knots.
