"I bought this boat in 1988, its speed and performance won me over immediately!
The boat was built in 1978 for skipper MARSAUDON and with whom I had the chance to sail during the 'Course au large' during the double-handed transatlantic race Lorient - Bermuda - Lorient in 1983 aboard the trimaran Stalaven!
This Jade 48, I bought it in 1988, as a bare hull and I worked on it for 2 years for a full refit, reinforcing the forward frames, then I built all the woodwork and interior fittings.
I am a passionate racer and offshore sailor and I have owned this superb aluminum sailing yacht for 36 years!
Today it is a fast and comfortable boat.
The maintenance of the boat is regular "I am very particular about the maintenance of the boat, it is part of safety.
It is dry-docked regularly, in April 2026 we gave it a spring makeover: hull scrubbing, antifouling, various checks and repairs, the anodes were replaced, the hull was sandblasted and 4 coats of zinc antifouling were applied.
This is a boat ready to sail, I do everything myself on my boat, knowing that I am a former professional in boatbuilding, except for the sandblasting which was done in April 2026 by a company.
As I get older I have taken the difficult decision to part with it and we are now looking for its new owner.
This is a boat that heels firmly, a close-hauled boat!
So you need to be a little sporty if you want to take an interest in this sailing yacht!"

“I have owned this yacht since 1988. From the start it seduced me with its speed and performance. Built originally for skipper Marsaudon, I had the privilege of sailing with him in offshore racing.
Purchased as a bare hull, I refitted and reinforced it entirely myself: forward structure reinforced, custom woodwork, full interior.
After 36 years of passionate sailing I must reluctantly part with it. It is a fast, seaworthy and demanding boat—ideal for performance sailing enthusiasts. Its care has been meticulous and it is ready to sail again today.”
