Rare 16-metre steel bluewater cruising yacht, built in 1983 by Schwartz Hautmont in Tarragona (Spain), to the Damien II design by renowned naval architects Michel Joubert and Bernard Nivelt, in a fixed-keel configuration.
This yacht has a particularly remarkable history. Her current owner is one of the three members of the Real Club Náutico de Barcelona who, in the early 1980s, purchased the Damien II plans and commissioned Schwartz Hautmont to build their own yachts. As a result, this vessel is a genuine first-owner boat, having remained in the same hands since her launch.
After more than forty years of cruising, voyages and meticulous maintenance, her owner has now decided to pass this yacht on to a new enthusiast.
She offers generous accommodation with 3 cabins, 6 berths and 2 bathrooms. The interior, crafted entirely in solid teak, has retained all the charm and quality of traditional yacht building. A large forward storage locker provides ample space for sails, spare parts and bluewater cruising equipment.
Her robust steel hull makes her perfectly suited for offshore sailing and long-distance passages. She is powered by a reliable Perkins 6354.3 diesel engine developing 120 HP, renowned for its durability and ease of maintenance. The yacht is also equipped with a Splash 25 watermaker, complete navigation electronics, a mechanical windvane self-steering system (requiring no electrical power), a generator, a life raft and a 2.50 m tender (2023) powered by a Honda 4 HP outboard (2023).
The sail inventory includes a heavy genoa, light genoa, mainsail, asymmetrical spinnaker, symmetrical spinnaker, staysail and storm jib.
The standing rigging, replaced approximately 12 to 15 years ago, should now undergo a complete inspection before embarking on a new offshore or ocean cruising programme.
In addition, the marina berth can be transferred with the yacht. The berth benefits from a leasehold concession (amodiation) valid until 2032. Should the buyer prefer not to take over the concession, a berth can also be rented on a monthly basis, subject to marina availability.
