The Fiart Genius 28 is a boat with an elegant and sporty image that offers original and flexible solutions, expanding the range of possibilities of use. A large sundeck in the bow and a spacious and functional cockpit in the stern guarantee excellent habitability for several people.
Below deck there is access to a large and bright room, with a height of 1.80 meters, where there is a dinette sofa that can be quickly converted into a double bed, a double bed on the beam with fabric separation, a fully equipped kitchenette, two wardrobes and numerous containers. In a separate room there is a bathroom with shower.
The engines are 1.7 DTI 16 valves, designed by ISUZU and fitted as standard for 20 years on Opel's top-of-the-range models; the marinization was done by Mercruisers, not local artisans. All spare parts are available and many are of automotive origin, moreover all spare parts, in addition to being always available, are low cost, as well as the coupons cost as much as the coupons of a car (average cost for a complete service 80 euros)
Fuel consumption is negligible, especially at cruising speed (35l/h)
In particular, as far as this boat is concerned, an engine was completely rebuilt in 2022 with photos, technical report, invoice and warranty until 2025. The cost for the total rebuild of the engine was about 5,000 euros (rebuilding a Volvo Penta probably costs 3 times as much)
The engines are those installed by Fiart in 2002. This means that the shipyard itself considered the engines suitable for the hull, many boats from the year 2000 have these engines.
The reliability of the engines is not in question, it all depends on how they are used, being fast diesel engines (up to 4400 rpm), if they are used constantly at maximum speed their reliability is reduced, using them as a base within 3600/3800 rpm (16/20 knots of speed) they are absolutely reliable like any car that travels 250,000 km without problems.
