Description
The Saffa is a motor catamaran built by the famous Renato Molinari shipyard in 1979 for category R3 motorboat competitions. At the time, the particular hull in marine plywood was designed to face the choppy waters of the Seine on the occasion of the prestigious "24 Hours of Rouen" race.
The triumphant victory by a large margin is due not only to the close-knit team of drivers (Molinari, Vassena, Panzeri), but also to the powerful engine of the FIAT 131 Abarth installed on board.
The boat is in good general condition as it has been stored on deck and in its original condition. The hull maintains the livery of the time (sponsored by SAFFA racing) and is equipped with the original tank, instruments and stern drive transmission.
The catamaran is equipped with its FIAT 131 Abarth engine to be overhauled and with a cradle equipped with wheels.
Boat with an important pedigree and of undisputed historical/collective value.
