The passion of an owner and the genius of the Studio Geometrie Marine of the engineer Aldo Gatti with the mastery of a historic Leopoldo Colombo shipyard on Lake Como, have given life to an extraordinary interpretation of the American lobster.
The boat is built in wood on the lines of the standard boat Rose Island 38', with which it shares the Designer and the proven sailing and seaworthiness qualities. It consists of oak wood frames, triple laminated mahogany planking and solid mahogany and mahogany plywood superstructures with a beautiful Teak deck. From the keel to the mast, there is not a single fiberglass component. There are numerous accessories and features that contribute to making this hull complete and self-sufficient even for long-range cruises. From the electrical panel on which every single on-board user is highlighted, to the mooring winch at the stern, from the outdoor shower with hot and cold water to the remote-controlled gangway, from the 3.5 KW generator under the stern, to the flaps that help to keep the trim stable while underway and to the side wooden fins to protect the sides.
