Delivered to its first and only owner, in April 1999, this AB Yachts Follia 75 is a large and fast Sport Yacht with Hamilton Jet propulsion and combines the highest standards of fittings and finishes with excellent handling and seaworthiness. The Follia 75 is an update of previous designs, with more powerful engines and a deep-V hull to provide faster and more comfortable sailing at sea. Two Deutz engines of 1850 hp each provide the impressive power to the water jets via Twin Disc gearboxes. The boat is built with closed-cell foam between layers of composite. There is a layer of elastomer inside the laminate, which maintains the seal even if the laminate is damaged in a collision. The decks are made of aluminum honeycomb. This construction makes the Follia 75 very light but also very durable. Two aft doors allow access to tenders. Another feature of the Follia 75 is its futuristic cockpit design and very intuitive controls. The reverse deflector and throttles are controlled with a single lever and there are three idle speeds to choose from for precise manoeuvring.
