Catalina 42 MKII – Comfort, Space and Performance with Only 1.47 m Draft
This Catalina 42 MKII combines comfort, reliability and excellent sailing characteristics with a draught of only 1.47 meters – ideal for Frisian lakes, IJsselmeer and Wadden Sea. The ship has been excellently maintained and recently equipped with many important innovations.
The mainsail was renewed in (2022) by a full radial laminate sail with 3 reefs, also the standing and running rigging and the halyard stoppers were replaced in (2023). The deck received a completely new plastic TopDek in 2024 and the equipment on board is modern and complete, including a heater (2023), boiler (2021), renewed toilet (2025) and a spacious battery bank 696 AH from (2020) with Victron monitor. For the drive, the propeller shaft, water barrier and MaxProp propeller have been renewed in (2022).
The electronic navigation is at a high level with Raymarine I70 instruments, Axiom 12 PRO plotter (2021), Quantum Doppler radar (2019), AIS-700 (2023), VHF Ray 63 with wireless handset (2022) and a powerful autopilot. Thanks to the Vetus bow thruster (95 KgF), manoeuvring is easy. At anchor you are reliable with the Rocna Vulcan (2023).
