With over 2,800 boats built, the 28 Flybridge Cruiser remains the best-selling Bertram ever. Designed along the lines of the classic Bertram 31, the 28 has quickly established itself among serious anglers as a robust and durable deep-sea angler with comfortable cabin accommodation. The boat rests on a solid deep V-shaped fiberglass hull and its 11-foot beam is wide for a 28-footer. Below deck, the cabin layout includes sleeping accommodations for four people with a convertible dinette, a galley and a bathroom. In 1982, the 28 II came out with a slightly elongated cabin bulkhead, in 1994 the fuel was increased to 240 gallons, and with the 28 III model (1990-94) the cabin was slightly revised and the flybridge bench was replaced by a pedestal helmsman's seat. Superior workmanship and constant refinements have kept the Bertram 28 at the forefront of small fishing boat design during its lengthy production.
